Lucien Sands has direct access to Manaba Beach, a blue flag beach. Manaba beach has shark nets as well as lifeguards and is safe for swimming.  A short walk down the beach will bring you to the Margate main beach.

Lucien Sands is a well-maintained complex that boasts a sparkling pool, direct beach access and each unit has a lock-up garage. Lucien Sands 702 apartment on the first floor has lovely sea views. The kitchen and lounge are open plans opening up onto a balcony with a built-in braai. The kitchen, with granite tops, is fully fitted for self-catering and has a dishwasher as well as a washing machine. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and hand-held shower. The second bedroom has a double bed. The third bedroom also has a double bed. In the second bathroom, there is a shower. Please remember to bring along your own DSTV decoder. No smoking is permitted in the unit.

Ramsgate is nearby where the famous Waffle house is found and Blue Lagoon Beach. The Blue Lagoon also has lifeguards, shark nets and is safe for swimming. There are paddle boats as well as canoes for hire on the lagoon. There also is a whale viewing deck which is a popular lookout during the whale season of June to October.  Furthermore, the weather on the South Coast is superb, even in winter.
