Did you know the South Coast (also known as the Hibiscus Coast) boasts five Blue Flag beaches, nine 18-hole golf courses, a nearby canyon (‘Oribi Gorge’) and a world famous dive-site (‘Protea Banks’)?

Enjoying the lovely sunrises and sightings of whales and dolphins frolicking in the waves are a common occurrence. Uvongo beach on the South Coast has a picturesque waterfall that plunges into a lovely little lagoon. The lagoon and beach are protected by cliffs and dense indigenous trees and foliage which must make Uvongo beach one of the most beautiful in the world. Paddleboats, as well as canoes, are for hire on the lagoon.  Curios are available to buy or admire from the local craft market on the beach. Uvongo beach has lifeguards as well as shark nets making it an excellent swimming and surfing beach. Uvongo beach also has a freshwater kiddies pool as well as a tidal pool nearby.
