Laguna La Crete 31, in Uvongo, is in a very popular complex on the South Coast and is suitable for self catering holiday accommodation. Uvongo is a lovely seaside resort village on the Hibiscus Coast. Laguna La Crete, a well maintained complex with a swimming pool, tennis court, communal braai facilities as well as undercover parking.
Laguna La Crete has 24 hour boomed security entrances with CCTV and security patrols. PLEASE NOTE: this complex has its own water supply (borehole with reverse-osmosis filtration system). It is therefore not dependant on municipal water.
Laguna La Crete 31, a bedroom ground floor flat has the stunning sea as well as lagoon views. It has direct access to the beach at low tide. (The tennis court needs to be booked in advance at the Laguna La Crete office). The lounge opens up onto the balcony. There is a gas braai on the balcony. Well-equipped kitchen suitable for self-catering.
The main bedroom has a queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The second bedroom has two single beds. The third bedroom has two single beds. In the second bathroom, there is a shower and also a bath.
This well-known beach has a picturesque waterfall that plunges into a lovely little lagoon. The lagoon and beach are protected by cliffs and dense indigenous trees and foliage which must make Uvongo beach one of the most beautiful in the world. Paddleboats, as well as canoes, are for hire on the lagoon. Curios are available to buy or admire from the local craft market on the beach. Uvongo beach has lifeguards as well as shark nets making it an excellent swimming and surfing beach. Uvongo beach also has a freshwater kiddies pool as well as a tidal pool nearby.
Activities include the 5km park run from St Michaels beach to Uvongo beach every Saturday morning along the brush trails along the rocks. Furthermore, the weather on the South Coast is superb, even in winter. The sea temperature, which is influenced by the warm Mozambique current, seldom drops below 19 degrees.
